Welcome, New Graduates!  The best is yet to come...

Picture
Congratulations on your graduation and welcome to the wonderful world of AOII alumnae membership!

Questions?
We want to make your transition to alumnae life a breeze.  Please let us know that you are in town by emailing us at:  info@aoiisandiego.org

What to expect?
Many Alumnae members will tell you that their favorite AOII memories happened after they graduated from college.  Alumnae members share the same purpose and Ritual.  We support Arthritis, we have  fun social events, we support our Collegiate chapters, and we fundraise for the AOII Foundation.  We hold candle-passings for newly engaged members, we attend Founders' Day, and we serve as bridesmaids for our sisters.  We have even been known to stay up all night talking with our sisters!

First Year Dues are Free!
After years of collegiate chapter dues, you will be pleasantly surprised at the low cost of alumnae chapter dues.  In fact, your first year of dues is "on us"...you pay nothing.  Annual dues after your first year are only around $55 (and even lower if you are a Life Loyal member).

Time Commitment
We know the post-graduation world may be busy with graduate school, job-hunting, starting your career, buying a house, getting married, and perhaps starting a family.  Your AOII alumnae experience can take as much (or as little) time you have to give to it.  If you want to serve as an officer, great!  If you want to just enjoy the social aspects of membership, that is wonderful too!

Networking and Mentoring
We are to be that friend, upon whom you have no fear to call.  Alumnae Chapter membership gives you access to sisters who have stood in your "new grad" shoes.  Your alumnae sisters possess a wealth of knowledge and life experience that they are happy to share with you:

- CV/resume critique
- Job interview preparation
- Career networking
- Introductions to community organizations may want to join
- Wedding planning
- Buying your first home
- Navigating office politics

We look forward to getting to know you, having you join us for our events, and helping you network as you begin this next chapter of your life.  We hope that you will dive into the Alumnae experience...we are here with open arms…the best is yet to come!
