Alumna Initiate Program
The Alumna Initiate Program allows AOII members to share our Ritual with women who are a large part of our lives and exemplify what being an AOII is, but for one reason or another, were not presented with the opportunity to become an AOII during college. This program invites women who share our philosophy and purpose and who will support the Object of the Fraternity to become a part of Alpha Omicron Pi.
The invitation to become an Alumna Initiate can be extended to female friends and relatives of AOIIs, faculty advisers and campus leaders, notable women from the local community, women who may have pledged AOII but were not initiated, and any woman interested in mentoring and working with young women from all over the United States and Canada.
To become an Alumna Initiate of AOII, candidates must have an AOII sponsor who they know personally and who lives locally. Candidates may not be members of another National Panhellenic Conference Organization, nor eligible to be an undergraduate collegiate member. Once a candidate for the Alumna Initiate Program is approved, she will be responsible for a one-time initiation fee and pay the one-time fee of her AOII badge.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in the Alumna Initiate Program, please e-mail the AOII Engagement Department at engagement@alphaomicronpi.org to inquire more information about the Alumnae Initiate Application!
Our Chapter's Alumnae Initiates
The San Diego Alumnae Chapter has had 3 members over the years that were initiated as Alumnae. One was a member's colleague, one was a member's sister, and one was a member's daughter. Please note that only collegiate chapters have the privilege of initiating members, so these members were not initiated by our chapter.
